Knights hammer the Attack 7-2

The London Knights stretched their win streak to 11 games following a 7-2 victory over the Owen Sound Attack on Friday.

After a scoreless first period, Adam Boqvist and Alec Regula both scored late in the second to give London a 2-0 lead.

Boqvist scored his second of the night 1:05 into the third and Billy Moskal added another for the Knights just after the five minute mark. The Attack made it on the board with their first goal of the game 8:14 into the third, but Liam Foudy and Alex Turko answered with another two goals to give London a 6-1 lead.  Owen Sound scored another goal late in the frame, but London kept their momentum with Connor McMichael scoring one final unanswered goal to cap off the win.

Knights goaltender Jordan Kooy made 33 saves out of 35 shots on net.

The Knights are in Windsor next on Sunday to battle the Spitfires. The puck drops at 2:05 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
