Jr. hockey wrap-up – November 29, 2018

The Leamington Flyers beat the Komoka Kings 6-4 on Thursday for their fifth straight win.

Ryan Gagnier led Leamington with two goals, while Michael Andrews, Wyatt O`Neil, Johnny Ulicny and Rory DiNiro all scored once.

The Flyers head to St. Marys on Friday to battle the Lincolns at 7:30 p.m.

As well, the London Nationals were doubled 6-3 by the Sarnia Legionnaires.

Max Vinogradov, Zach Sheedy and George Diaco scored the three goals for London.

The Nationals are headed to LaSalle on Sunday to take on the Vipers at 2:30 p.m.

And in Junior C hockey, the Lakeshore Canadiens topped the Petrolia Flyers 6-4.

Dylan Bradley, Matt Smith, Eric Larue, Blake Bain, Tycen Chittle and Ameen Fadel each score a goal for Lakeshore.

The Canadiens face off against the Dresden Kings on Friday. The puck drops at 7:30 p.m. in Dresden.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
