Knights keep Rangers at bay to win 8-6

The London Knights topped the Kitchener Rangers 8-6 in OHL action on Friday.

Liam Foudy and Alec Regula both scored in the first eight minutes of the game, but the Rangers added their own 13:54 into the first period. Alex Formenton and Kevin Hancock were both able to score before the end of the frame to five London a 4-1 lead heading into the second.

Kitchener scored three back-to-back goals in the first half of the second to tie the game.  However, Evan Bouchard, Adam Boqvist and Nathan Dunkley all scored for London before the end of the period to retake the advantage.

The Rangers cut the Knights' lead down to 7-6 by scoring twice early in the third, but London was able to keep them at bay for the rest of period. Foudy scored his second of the night in the final three seconds to ensure the win.

London goaltender Joseph Raaymakers made 27 saves out of 33 shots on net.

The Knights are on the road again on Saturday to face off against the Hamilton Bulldogs at 4 p.m.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
