Jr. hockey wrap-up – March 20, 2019

The LaSalle Vipers have been eliminated after falling 7-2 to the London Nationals in Game 5 on Wednesday.

Isaiah Payne and Kyle Dawson both scored twice for London, while George Diaco, James Turner and Colin Wilson each scored once.

Evan Ferguson scored both goals for LaSalle.

London won the best-of-seven series 4-1.

The Nationals will now move on to the Western Conference finals to take on the Leamington Flyers or the Komoka Kings.

The Lakeshore Canadiens beat the  Exeter Hawks 3-1 in Game 1.

Dylan Bradley, Brandon Ireland and Hunter Bailey scored the three goals for Lakeshore.

The Canadiens face off against the Hawks again in Game 2 on Friday. The puck drops at 8 p.m. in South Huron.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
