Jr. hockey wrap-up - April 19, 2019

The London Nationals travelled to Listowel and defeated the Cyclones 3-1 in Game 6 on Friday.

Listowel's Brayden Krieger scored the first goal of the game on a power play 11:47 into the first period. Rilley MacRae scored just minutes after for London, tying up the game.

The Nationals' Christian Polillo scored on a power play, putting London in the lead in the second period.

In the third period, Chayse Herrfort scored an unsuccessful penalty shot for the Cyclones. Macrae scored his second goal of the game on an empty net, putting the Nationals in the lead by two points and winning them the game.

London goaltender Zachary Springer saved 22 out of  shots on net.

The Nationals are now headed to the Sutherland Cup Finals

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
