OPP Warn Drivers Of Cattle Near Monkton

Police are warning drivers southeast of Monkton that a number of cattle may be roaming the roadways.

Perth County Ontario Provincial Police say on Saturday just after 8:30am, officers responded to a farm on County Rd. 160 to assist a farmer who had reported that a large number of his cattle had roamed off the property.

A group of volunteers were able to locate 175 cattle, but as of 4:30pm, 14 are still missing.

Police urge caution to drivers travelling in the area of Hwy. 23 (Perth Rd. 164), and County Rd. 160 and between Line 53 and Line 46.

Anyone who spots some of the missing cattle is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
