New Goderich Restaurant Hoping For Spring Opening

The owner of the former CPR station in Goderich says he's now back on track for a May 24 opening of his new restaurant next spring.

Herb Marshall says they've overcome some structural steel issues that were holding things up through the summer, and they met the most important deadline.  They were able to hold his daughter's wedding reception there last weekend.

Marshall says the main hall is now all dry-walled and has one coat of paint on it. As well, he says the chandeliers are all up, so now they're focusing on getting the kitchen closed in so they can work on that through the winter.

Marshall is now cautiously optimistic the new Beach Street Station Restaurant will be open in some form by the May 24 weekend.
