Shallow Lake Fire Leaves Two Without Home

Fire crews were kept busy battling a fire in Shallow Lake just off of Hwy. 6 on Sunday, that reportedly left two people without a home.
The OPP closed off the highway just after 9:30am on Sunday, citing a fire on Portland Ave. on the south side of the village as the cause.Local business owners say the two people who lived in the duplex lost everything.  No injures were reported.  A donation box for the two individuals involved has been set-up at Mercantile Exchange on Princess St.
For those donating clothes, employees at the store say the male who lived in the building wears a 32-inch waist.  The highway has since re-opened.
