New Treasurer For HPCDSB

A chartered accountant from Northern Ontario will soon be the new superintendent of business and treasurer for the Huron-Perth Catholic District School Board.

The board has announced the hiring of Christopher Howarth.

He has served as the Superintendent of Business with the Northwest Catholic District School in Dryden since 1990. Howarth is the northwestern Ontario representative on the Ontario School Board’s Insurance Exchange and serves as a director on the Dryden Regional Health Centre Board. He has also served in leadership roles on various Ministry of Education finance and capital workgroups.

Current Superintendent of Business and Treasurer Gerry Thuss is retiring after 21 years with the Huron-Perth Catholic Board.

Chris Howarth takes over the position in January.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
