Three Way Race For Huron County Warden

Huron County will have a three-way race for warden for 2015.

Huron East Mayor Bernie MacLellen, Morris-Turnberry Mayor Paul Gowing and Township of Howick Reeve Art Versteeg announced their intention to run for warden at this morning's council meeting.

MacLellan was warden in 2012.  Joe Steffler, the deputy mayor for Huron East, served as Warden through 2014.

For the first time Huron County wardens will serve a two-year term starting next year.

The warden will be elected at December's inaugural meeting.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
