UPDATE: Arrest Made In Paisley Robbery

A 20-year old Arran-Elderslie man faces a number of charges after a report of a robbery in Paisley.

South Bruce OPP responded to a call just after 3pm yesterday afternoon, about a robbery at a home in the 400-block of Goldie St. Officers arrived to find a lone male had entered the home and brandished a knife during the robbery.

The accused, Matthew Nowak, has been charged with two counts of break and enter, robbery with a weapon, possessing a dangerous weapon, disguise with intent, two counts of breaching recognizance and breach of probation.

Police say it was an isolated incident and there is no threat to public safety.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
