Unique Credit Course At Norwell S.S.

Norwell District Secondary School in Palmerston is trying to combine geography with playing hockey.

As unlikely a combination as it is, Minto councilor Ron Elliott is big fan of the idea. He says it is a way of keeping school interesting.

Students must participate in both parts of the course to get the credit. Minto will be renting ice time to the school at the Palmerston arena.

“It’s kind of thinking outside the box to create an interest for our pupils to stay involved in school. I think it’s a great idea," Elliott. "I wish they had that when I was a kid.”
