Huron-Bruce MPP Says People Need Help Because Of High Utility Prices

Huron Bruce MPP Lisa Thompson says the time is now for the provincial government to take a look at utility prices for low income earners.

In yesterday's question period, Thompson said low income earners trying to pay their utility bills need more support, as many in the province can not afford their energy bills.

She says the need for support has been year round, leaving support agencies with less money for the cold winter months.

She adds the issue of energy costs in Ontario are one of the key topics she will be looking at as the PC party picks their next leader

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
