OPP Lay Charges In Fatal Collison Near Bluevale

Huron County OPP have now laid a charge against a Huron County driver in connection with the September 22 death of Jordan Moorehead.

The 27-year-old had been walking westbound on Amberley Rd. just east of Bluevale about 8:30pm in the evening when he was struck by a delivery truck.

The driver of the truck failed to stop at the scene of the accident and failed to render assistance to Moorehead.

Huron County, Huron County EMS and Brussels Fire Department all responded to the collision scene and found Moorehead lying on the roadway.

He was transported to hospital by air ambulance and died in hospital as a result of his injuries the next day.

William Krotz of Gorrie is charged with with failing to stop at the scene of an accident. He has a court date scheduled for November 20 in Wingham.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
