Second World War Songs To Be Featured In Bruce & Grey Concert

Remembrance Day brings back a host of memories. First and foremost, of those who never came home, but also for the music that often was so important in keeping up morale.

Songs of the Second World War are featured in performances this weekend by a group of Bruce and Grey County musicians. Stroll down memory lane listening to the likes of Vera Lynn, the Andrews Sisters and Bing Crosby.

"I love singing and this is some of my favourite music." Kelda Mikalson, the concert's curator tells CKNX News. "I wanted to share it with the community and remind people of these songs that they might know from their grandparents or their parents."

You can hear "Songs of the Second World War" Saturday in Southampton at St. Andrews Church starting at 7:30pm, and Sunday at the Harmony Centre in Owen Sound at 2pm.
