Huron Perth HealthCare Staff Urged To Get Flu Shot

The Huron-Perth Healthcare Alliance is urging its staff members to get a flu shot.

C-E-O Andrew Williams explains it's particularly important for people caring for vulnerable people to be vaccinated as a way of protecting themselves, but also protecting their patients.

He points out that the flu does kill people every year in Canada so getting the flu shot makes sense on a personal level, but also sends a positive message to other people.

Williams adds last year 80 per cent of Alliance staff members got their flu shot and he's hoping to improve on that this year. He would personally like to see 100 per cent of staff members get vaccinated.
