Wellington North Mayor Tout Bids Farewell

Wellington North Mayor Ray Tout bid farewell as he led his final meeting as head of council. He was defeated in the municipal election.

Tout - who was a one-term mayor - said his past four years in office was an opportunity to "live a dream."

He cited some of the past council’s accomplishments including reducing debt by about $4-million and increasing reserves by about $4-million.

He had particularly high praise for the Wellington North staff.

Tout says the new council should stay focused on attracting new business.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
