Grant Cheques From Community Foundation Grey Bruce

The social impact of charitable giving in Grey-Bruce will be in the spotlight this evening.

Community Foundation Grey Bruce will be holding its awards ceremony at the Raven Grill, Lora Bay in the Town of Blue Mountains.

Over 35 local agencies will receive grant cheques totaling $84,484 for projects and programs.

31 public libraries will also receive an equal share of a recent $42,416 donation from the new Eva Leflar Library Initiative.

Because of the many generous donors and the 83 endowed fund holders, the foundation has distributed nearly $600,000 to community charities and not-for-profits this year.

"We provide lasting support for local priorities. Our grants support projects and programs for charities and non-profits serving the region in areas of arts and culture, children’s interests, education, environment, health and recreation," says Foundation Chair Donna Elliott.
