'Into The Open' Sexual Violence Meeting In Owen Sound

A round table discussion on preventing sexual violence happens in Owen Sound this evening.

The event is called "Into The Open" and is being put on by the group Violence Prevention Grey Bruce.

Organizer Bernice Connell says people from all walks of life are invited to talk about sexual violence and work on ways to prevent it. She says the hope is more victims of sexual violence will speak out.

"Hopefully this will encourage people to at least take that first step, or at least know people are trying to talk about it and shine some light on it," says Connell.

The discussion on preventing sexual violence is at the Grey Bruce Health Unit this evening from 5pm to 8pm.
