Senator Jim Munson Visits Area, CKNX Studio

Canadian Senator Jim Munson will be making a couple public appearances in the area this Friday.

Munson, who was a Liberal senator until Federal Liberal leader Justin Trudeau removed all Liberal upper house members from their caucus, will be accompanied by Huron-Bruce federal Liberal candidate Allan Thompson for the two events.

In the first engagement, the 68-year-old will be talking about "Liberal values" at the Lakeshore Recreation Complex in Port Elgin from 1pm to 3pm. The second event sees the 11-year  Senator at Duff's United Church in Walton from 7pm to 9pm, discussing the challenges families face while dealing with Autism.

In an exclusive interview with the former journalist, CKNX's Marty Thompson asks Munson about the future of the Liberal party in rural Ontario, what it is like to be without a party in the Senate, and what the Liberals will have to do to win the 2015 Federal Election next October.
