Grey Bruce Health Services Christmas Fundraising

The Grey Bruce Health Services' annual Christmas fundraising campaign wants to 'put people back on their feet.'

Money raised this year will be used for new operating room equipment used in orthopaedic surgery. That includes things like hip and knee replacements.

The Owen Sound Hospital Foundation's Paul Weitendorf says they do as many as 700 of the procedures annually.

The goal of the campaign this year is $300,000.

Donation letters will be in the mail within the next week or people can call the Owen Sound hospital foundation at 519-372-3925 to make a donation.

"We really rely on the community to help us keep the hospital well equipped and to make sure we have the latest procedures available close to home," says Weitendorf.
