Food Drive In Owen Sound

Owen Sound police auxiliary officers will join the local Salvation Army at several local food drive events.

The plan is to collect food for needy families at a number of local grocery stores in the next few weeks.

They're looking for pasta, dry cereal, baby food, peanut butter and cannced goods.

This weekend, donations will be collected at Metro at 1070 Second Ave. E between 9am and 3pm.

Donations are being accepted at the Zehrs store at 1150 16th St. E on Friday November 28 from 5pm to 9pm, and Saturday November 29 from 9am to 3pm.

The collection takes place at Food Basics on 16th St. E on December 6.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
