Central Huron's Mayor Shares Rural Lens Vision

Central Huron's mayor has been asked to make a presentation at the next Rural Ontario Municipal Association meeting in February.

The presentation is on how to apply a 'rural lens' to decisions.

Jim Ginn made one presentation to a committee of ROMA at the last AMO Conference. Now he's been asked to make the same presentation to the full ROMA Conference.

Ginn explains he often hears people talk about decisions being made in Toronto by people who have very limited knowledge of rural Ontario.

Huron County and other rural municipalities have employed a rural lens for some time, but Ginn says the challenge is to get the word out to the people in the cities who make decisions that impact rural communities, particularly provincial ministries.
