Meaford Doesn't Want New Cell Tower

Cell phone towers have joined wind turbines as 'unwelcome structures' in Meaford.

Council voted Monday to send letters to the CRTC, explaining the concerns of many residents about a proposal by Rogers Telecommunications to build a cell phone tower in Meaford.

Greenfield feels many Meaford residents would prefer to wait until underground fibre optics or other choices become available.
