Goderich Public School Receives Award

Goderich Public School is being honoured at the provincial level.

Goderich Public is one of only 14 schools across Ontario to receive the Dr. Bette Stephenson Recognition of Achievement. It's for their school-wide approach to ensuring student success.

The Education Quality and Accountability Office recognizes specific schools that are using testing data to improve teaching and student learning. These are schools where trends in student achievement on provincial assessments show that something positive is happening in the school communities.

The CEO of the Education Quality and Accountability Office will be stopping into the school today to talk with students and staff about their achievements in EQAO testing.

Later in the day, Bruce Rodrigues will visit Central Huron Secondary School in Clinton and then the Education Centre in Seaforth.
