South Bruce OPP Arrest Wanted Man In Walkerton

South Bruce OPP have arrested the man wanted after a lock down in part of Wingham this week.

Police say they received a tip yesterday that their suspect was at an address in Culross Township.  The OPP, the emergency response team and the canine unit failed to locate the man. But another tip last night sent officers to a home on Durham St. E in Walkerton.   Officers took the man into custody without incident.

27-year old Kent Wall of Bruce Township faces a number of charges including flight from police, careless storage of a firearm, race a motor vehicle,  and possession of a restricted firearm and ammunition.

Wall has a court appearance this afternoon in Walkerton.

Police locked down part of a Wingham neighbhood Monday evening as officers armed with rifles searched for a suspect.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
