West Grey Loses Provincial Funding

West Grey is joining the long list of rural municipalities losing out on Ontario Municipal Partnership Funding.

The 2015 grant will be a reduction of nearly $349,000 from this year.  That represents a 5 per cent increase to the tax levy.

West Grey Committee of the Whole wants to hold special committee meetings in December and January to consider the impact on the budget.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
