South Bruce Fire Department Wants To Work With Neighbouring Services

The South Bruce Fire Department is looking to neighbouring municipalities for better fire coverage across the region.

Fire officials have proposed opening discussions with Hanover, Brockton, West Grey, Minto, North Huron, and Howick departments.

Any kind of an agreement would mean a quicker response to some areas in South Bruce, especially in the "four corners" of the township.

Officials did not say when the discussions will take place.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
