Georgian Bay Secondary School Student Charged For Sexual Assault

A student at Georgian Bay Secondary School in Meaford is facing criminal charges.

OPP officers were called to the school shortly after noon yesterday to investigate a report of a sexual assault.

A 15-year-old female student complained that she had been lured into a washroom at the school, where she was inappropriately touched by a male student.

A 15-year-old male student was arrested and charged with sexual assault and forcible confinement. He was suspended from school.

He is to appear in Youth Justice Court in Owen Sound on December 9.
