Police Investigate Mailbox Shootings

Police are investigating after a number of mailboxes were shot at in the North Bruce Peninsula.

Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police say between 10:50pm on Friday and 8am on Saturday, an unknown number of people traveled around Dyers Bay Rd. and Bartley Dr. shooting at mailboxes. A large amount of holes were left in each mailbox, and they were mostly destroyed.

Police say suspects involved in these incidents could be charged with damage to property, careless use of a firearm and shooting from a motor vehicle.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
