Meaford Council Ready To Improve Local Ecomomy

Meaford's new mayor credits the hard work town staff and two previous councils for reducing the Municipality's considerable debt.

In her inaugural address, Barbara Clumpus stated those debt reducing efforts will help her and her council to strengthen Meaford's economy.

Clumpus and Harley Greenfield were officially sworn in as mayor and deputy mayor respectively. "We are right on track for reaching financial stability." Meaford's financial stability, Clumpus said, will make it possible for the new council to take advantage of economic programs they couldn't embark upon earlier.
