OPP Bust Grow-op In Chesley

South Bruce OPP have shut down an indoor grow-op in Chesley.

The OPP Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau, Drug Enforcement Unit, the OPP Emergency Response Team, and the South Bruce OPP executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on 4th St., south west in Chesley on Tuesday.

Police seized cannabis marijuana plants, processed cannabis marijuana, and cannabis resin with a combined value of  more than $141,000.  Police also seized marijuana production equipment with an estimated value of $450.

A 32-year-old Arran-Edlerslie Township man was arrested and charged with production of cannabis marijuana, possession of cannabis marijuana for the purposes of trafficking, production of cannabis resin, possession of cannabis resin, four-counts of failing to comply with conditions of a probation order, and two-counts of failing to comply with conditions of a recognizance.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
