Southgate Wind Turbine Host Debate Closed

In its first meeting, the new council of Southgate made it clear it does not wish to revisit the municipality’s position of being an unwilling host to wind power.

Deputy Mayor Norm Jack made a motion to reopen the discussion of wind power.

Samsung Energy has proposed a major wind power project for Southgate.

But the deputy mayor registered the only vote in favour of reconsidering the Unwilling Host Designation made last April.
