Owen Sound Fundraiser To Help People Stay Warm

There's a fundraising supper in Owen Sound on Sunday to help boost the Bruce Grey United Way's Utilities Assistance Fund.

Admission is by donation, which goes to help people who are struggling to pay their winter utility bills.

The soup and bread supper will be held at Georgian Shores United Church Hall in Owen Sound from 5pm-8pm.

"This is a fund that's been going on for some time that supports people who cannot pay their arrears in particular, but cannot afford to keep their house warm and lit all winter," says Organizer Anne Finlay-Stewart.
