Industry Award For HuronTel

HuronTel has received a North American honour from The Rural Broadband Association.

The Ripley-based company has been awarded the Smart Rural Community Showcase Award. It's the only company outside of the U.S. to receive the award.

The association cites Hurontel's advanced communications services and collaboration with local community leaders.

Hurontel serves more than 8,000 homes and businesses in Huron and Bruce counties with telephone, cellular, digital TV, and broadband internet.

The Rural Broadband Association represents 900 community-based telecommunications companies in rural and small-town North America.

"We have worked hard with our local leaders to ensure that our subscribers have access to advanced communications," says Hurontel General Manager Glen Grubb in a news release.
