Perth Huron United Way Caravan Collects Donations

The executive director of the Perth-Huron United Way says the Care-A-Van of Hope helped them gain a little ground on their campaign goal.

The goal is $1.17-million. Excutive Director Ryan Erb says they were at 60 per cent of their target when they started out Thursday.

The Care-A-Van made seven stops at Scotiabank branchs in various communities in Huron and Perth. Scotiabank is matching donations up to $15,000.

"People are really excited to know their dollars are being matched. It stretches the dollar. If I give a bit, I know there will be twice as much there," says Erb.
