Food Network Seeking Volunteers

Huron County's Food Action Network is looking for some volunteers to replace board members who are retiring.

Public Health Dietitian Amy MacDonald says ideally they'd like candidates to have some knowledge of the work the Food Action Network does.

The three specific positions they're hoping to fill are for vice-chair, treasurer and secretary as well as other board members.

MacDonald added that the main mission of the Food Action Network is to cultivate a sustainable local food system to nourish everyone in Huron County.

Anyone interested in helping them achieve their goal can call the Huron County Health Unit.
