Huron OPP Remind Citizens Of Overnight Parking Restrictions

Huron OPP have issued a reminder to visitors and residents of Goderich and Exeter -- overnight parking restrictions are being enforced.

It's to allow municipal employees to clear snow and ice from the roads easier, and to assist with sidewalk cleaning.

Goderich has an overnight parking bylaw in effective from now until March 15. Motorists are prohibited from parking on streets between 2am and 7am.

The fine for Goderich is $35, with an early payment option of $25 within seven days.

Exeter has an overnight parking restriction all year. There's no parking on Exeter streets between 3am and 6am.

The fine for Exeter is $30 with an early payment option of $25 within seven days.

The OPP also warn that a vehicle may be towed and impounded if it's parked contrary to the bylaw.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
