Huron Bruce MPP Boosts Carbon Monoxide Awareness

A push is being made today to get carbon monoxide detectors in more homes in Huron and Bruce counties.

Local MPP Lisa Thompson will join MPP Ernie Hardeman and a representative from the Insurance Bureau of Canada at separate events in Walkerton and Blyth.

Members of the Walkerton Fire Department and the North Huron Fire Department will also be involved.

There will be a presentation at 1:00 this afternoon at the Walkerton Fire Department;   and a similar presentation at 2:45 at the Emergency Services Training Centre in Blyth.

The goal is to put carbon monoxide detectors in the homes of over 100 Huron-Bruce residents and raise awareness that these lifesaving devices are needed in all homes.
