North Huron Appoints New Clerk

North Huron Council has appointed a new Clerk.

Current director of corporate services Kathy Adams will take over the position starting in the new year.

Adams is a long term employee with the Township of North Huron. She began her duties as an Administrative Assistant with the former Town of Wingham in 1988.

Council has been looking to fill the position since the departure of CAO/Clerk Gary Long. Barbara Clark took over the dual role in the interim.

"Kathy Adams is very capable of performing the duties of Clerk. She has experience and a strong record of performance as the Director of Corporate Services/Deputy Clerk. Kathy is a very valuable asset to the Township of North Huron,"Acting CAO/Clerk Barbara L. Wilson said in a report to council.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
