North Perth Signs Construction Firm For New Rec Centre

North Perth council has chosen the construction firm that will begin work on their new rec centre.

Ball Construction Inc. has been assigned to do pre-construction on the facility, which is expected to take anywhere from four to five months, for just over $34,000.

"We will be moving ahead with this company in terms of creating the final design for this facility along with budgeting and an overall plan." Steve Hardie, Director of Parks & Recreation with Municipality of North Perth, tells CKNX News, "Right now we're looking at spending the next few months getting everything in order."

Council signed Ball Construction for only the pre-construction phase, not for the entire project.

The new centre, which will be located on Road 165, is set to be named the Steve Kerr Memorial Recreation Complex.
