Drug Investigation Involving Huron And Perth Counties

Members of the Huron and Perth County OPP detachments will join several other police force representatives at a news conference in London later this morning.

They are expected to reveal the results of a lengthy investigation involving illegal drugs in several southwestern Ontario communities.

Representatives of the West Region Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau will have details and evidence of methamphetamine, cocaine and marijuana trafficking. The OPP Clandestine Drug Lab Investigative Response Team will also be onsite.

The news conference is at the OPP West Region Headquarters in London.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
