Wingham Woman Charged In Crash

A Wingham woman has a January court date after an incident early today.

Just after 3:30 this morning, Wingham police were alerted to a vehicle that had gone off the road near the Legion on Victoria St.

Police attended and saw a vehicle caught up on some guide wires and the driver was attempting to get the vehicle moving again.

The 47-year-old Wingham woman was arrested and taken to Walkerton where she provided breath samples that showed readings over the legal limit.

She is charged with care and control of a vehicle while impaired by alcohol, having over 80 mgs of alcohol in her blood and breach of probation.
