Bluewater council has approved an application by a resident for a rooftop solar panel.
Approval from the municipality is part of the process, but Mayor Tyler Hessel
says the more important approval must come from the fire department.Hessel explains the applicants will have to have an addition to their property indicating they have a solar panel on site. They must also post a sign beneath that, indicating the exact location of the solar panel.
Hessel points out there is still no guarantee the application will be approved by the province, and the applicants also have to make sure none of their neighbours have any objections.
