Numerous Watches And Warnings In Place Ahead Of Wintry Weather

Environment Canada has issued a series of watches, warnings and statements ahead of more wintry weather on Sunday.

A snow squall warning has been issued for Bruce and Grey counties, while a snow squall watch is in effect for Bruce, Grey, Huron and Perth.

The national weather service is expecting squalls to develop Sunday evening and into Monday, dropping as much as 15 cm in certain areas.

In the meantime, the entire region sits under a special weather statement saying a frigid Arctic air mass will arrive Sunday night causing the temperature to plummet.

The weather agency says extreme cold warnings will likely be required at times during the week due to the combination of cold temperatures and brisk winds.
