Owen Sound Transit Cancelled, Motorists Urged to Stay off Roads

The City of Owen Sound Public Works employees continue to plow city streets to try to keep arterial and collector roads passable.
Motorists are being urged to stay off the roads, drive only when necessary, and with extreme caution.
Owen Sound Transit has been suspended and will not be in service for the rest of the day.
Road Conditions along the arterial and collector routes are in fair to poor condition.
Side streets are in poor condition.
Sidewalks are also snow covered, with deep sections.
Residents are asked not to park within the roadway as they clear their driveways because of poor visibility and   snow clearing.

New military crosswalk in Sarnia to be unveiled

As part of a partnership between the Sarnia Legion Branch 62 and City of Sarnia, an unveiling ceremony will be held at the corner of Christina Street and Wellington Street on Sunday, June 7, at 2 p.m.

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
