$25,000 In Tools Stolen In Central Huron

Thieves used the down time between Christmas and New Year's to pull off a break, enter and theft of a substantial number of tools from a home under construction on Porter’s Hill Line in Central Huron.

Huron County OPP say sometime between 5:30 p.m. December 28 and 5:00 p.m. December 30, 2014 those responsible forced entry into the home and once inside, stole various construction tools including power tools, hand tools, table saws, mitre saws and electrical supplies.

The value of the stolen property is in excess of $25,000.

In addition, nearly $3,000 in damage was caused to the building when the thieves cut the supply wires to the electrical panel.

Some of the specific stolen items include: Paslode framing nailers Dewalt air compressor Several Dewalt 20 volt drills Several Makita 18 volt hand tools Stiletto Hammer 12/2 NMD90 Electrical Wire 14/2 NMD90 Electrical Wire 14/3 NMD90 Electrical Wire

Two men arrested in Tashmoo Ave. standoff

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
