Goderich Harbour Expansion Moves Ahead

The expansion project for the Goderich Harbour has passed a major hurdle.

C-A-O Larry McCabe told Goderich councillors Monday that the environmental assessment has been passed and construction on the 47-million dollars can get underway sometime this spring.

McCabe points out it could take two or three years to complete the expansion, but when it's done it will provide another fifteen or twenty acres of new land in the harbour.

That will make it an essential part of any new economic development in the Goderich area as well as Huron County.
