Highway 10 Crash Turns Fatal

A 33-year-old Township of Southgate man is dead after a two vehicle crash on Hwy. 10 on Friday.

Officers say they were called to the crash on Hwy. 10 between Road 170 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands and Southgate Rd. 26 in the Township of Southgate just after 11:30am Friday.

Police say a Honda Civic was travelling southbound on Hwy. 10 when it entered the northbound lane and collided with a northbound SUV.

The driver of the Honda, 33-year-old Steven Perry of Dundalk, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver and single passenger of the SUV, both from Milton, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.

Hwy. 10 from Road 170 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands and Southgate Rd. 26 was closed for several hours while police conducted an investigation. It was reopened to traffic just after 6pm.

Sarnia police said the investigation began on May 29 after the victim was allegedly attacked by acquaintances at a residence near Tashmoo Avenue and Christopher Drive at Aamjiwnaang First Nation.
