New Chair of Western Warden's Caucus

The Western Ontario Warden's Caucus has a new Chair.

Chatham-Kent Mayor Randy Hope was acclaimed to the one-year term at the Annual General Meeting of the Caucus today in London. Essex County Warden Tom Bain was acclaimed as Vice Chair.

The group also identified its key priorities for 2015 -- one of those is the SWIFT initiative, which will provide an affordable, open-access, ultra-high-speed fibre-optic regional broadband network for everyone in Western Ontario.

The Western Ontario Wardens' Caucus represents the interests of more than three million residents and businesses in 15 counties in western Ontario.
